Lafayette CA -- Attorney Shayne Hodge has joined intellectual property litigation boutique Vasquez Benisek & Lindgren as an associate counsel. Hodge hold a masters degree in electrical engineering from UC Davis and is a 2008 graduate of Boalt Hall law School. He previously spent 2 and 1/2 years working at Simpson Thatcher in Palo Alto, where he worked for firm clients Cisco, Intel, Apple and 3Com in cases around the country and in Marshall Texas."Shayne adds strength to our experienced team, and we are very happy to have him," said managing partner Rich Vasquez. Vasquez Benisek and Lindgren is coming up on its 3rd year anniversary. In the last six months the firm has tried two jury trials in the Eastern District of Texas' Marshall and Tyler divisions, which are the number 1 and 2 patent dockets in the United States. Last month the firm was retained to try another case in the Eastern District of Virginia, known as the "rocket docket" patent jurisdiction, for its reputation of getting cases to trial in less than one year from filing of the complaint.
