Avin is a litigation attorney whose practice focuses on patent infringement and business litigation. 

Avin has litigated patent cases involving a number of technologies (including integrated circuits, wireless local area networks, power-over-Ethernet, networking equipment and DSL modems) throughout the United States.  He has also represented clients in business disputes in federal and state court involving securities, antitrust, and consumer fraud litigation.

Avin is licensed to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.  He is a member of the California State Bar.

Before joining Vasquez, Benisek and Lindgren LLP, Avin was an associate with Morgan Miller Blair and Green Welling LLP.

Avin earned a double B.A. in Business Economics and Political Science from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 2000 and his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 2004.

Avin is President of the Barristers Club of the Bar Association of San Francisco. In addition, Avin is the Vice President of the South Asian Bar Association of Northern California.  Avin is also the Co-Chair of the Judicial and Public Appointments Committee for the Asian American Bar Association of the Greater Bay Area.
